MMA Holds Annual Meeting

CASTINE, Maine --- The Board of Trustees of Maine Maritime Academy will meet Friday, August 13, 2010, at 8:30 a.m., in the Holmes Alumni Heritage Room in the Harold Alfond Student Center on the college campus in Castine, Maine. The meeting will be part of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees and the Board of Directors of the MMA Alumni Association. At the beginning of the Board of Trustees Meeting, the MMA Alumni Association will present a report.

Standing Committees of the Board of Trustees will meet throughout the day on Thursday, August 12, 2010, at various times: Finance Committee, 10 a.m.; Education Policy Committee, 11 a.m.; Advancement and the Facilities and Property Committees, 1 p.m.; Student Affairs Committee, 3 p.m. All meetings are scheduled to be held in the Holmes Alumni Heritage Room. Meeting times are subject to change. If revisions occur, a revised schedule will be posted near the entrance to the meeting room.

The Board of Directors of the MMA Alumni Association will hold a regular meeting at 3 p.m., Thursday, August 12, in the Class of 1954 Lecture Hall located in the lower level of the Harold Alfond Student Center.

Victoria Larson of Windham, Maine, is the chairman of the 16-member Board of Trustees of Maine Maritime Academy. Margaret Bradley Letarte, Bowdoin, Maine, is the president of the MMA Alumni Association.
