MMA Featured on Samantha Brown's Great Weekends - See it on YouTube
CASTINE, Maine - Samantha Brown of the Travel Channel's Samantha Brown's Great Weekends, sailed into Castine on a traditional Maine schooner vacation. For this Maine episode, Maine Maritime Academy was invited to participate given that the college plays a vital role in the Castine community and continues Maine's seafaring heritage.
MMA campus hosts, Captain Andy Chase and Captain Ralph Pundt, together with the MMA Public Affairs Office, coordinated a navigation and shiphandling simulation experience for Ms. Brown. Her lighthearted visit to campus aired as the season premiere of the show on Thursday, May 6, at 10:30 p.m., on the Travel Channel.
