Offshore Wind Energy Focus of Alumni Lecture


CASTINE, Maine - The Maine Maritime Academy (MMA) Alumni Association recently  hosted a lecture by Paul Rich, a member of the college's Board of Trustees and graduate of the Class of 1985. Rich's lecture focused on developments in off shore wind power. The lecture was presented free of charge and was open to the public.

Rich is the Chief Development Officer for Deepwater Wind, LLC, one of the country's leading offshore wind farm development companies with projects off of Rhode Island and New Jersey. He most recently held the same position as Chief Development Officer for Cavallo Energy, and was the Chief Operating Officer for Atlantic Energy Partners and the Neptune Regional Transmission System.


A former Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, he is an avid sailor. He also holds a masters degree in public administration from the Harvard University John F. Kennedy School of Government.
